H/S: A Culture of Design

Holly and Smith Architects’ new book entitled, “H/S: A Culture of Design”, focuses on the firm’s long standing commitment to a firm culture which is grounded by a regional understanding of architecture and design. The images within this small assemblage are manifestations of things we have seen and liked. Rather than attempting to document a comprehensive range of work, the book focuses on highlighting a devotion to design that occurs at all levels, especially the smallest of details.

It’s all about design!

The architecture H/S has created is made up of many small pieces, not unlike the many cells of a living organism or blades of grass in an open field.
