Our new neighborhood was designed by an architect / urbanist / smuggling pirate from the 19th century! Luckily, a better philanthropist than swashbuckler— Barthelemy Lafon designed the neighborhood to incorporate all good things: public green space + canals + fountains + walkways to connect different areas to centralized parks. Some streets he named after proposed but never built structures: a prytaneum (really big school) and a coliseum. Others were named after the famous muses of greek mythology. These nine muses gifted inspiration to artists and scientists so that they might uncover artistic means to narrate the past, the present and what is to come.
WELL , WE THINK THERE IS A LOT TO COME !
