Alex T. Sirko, AIA, CSI
Architect
During early travel experiences, Alex Sirko was less interested in collecting souvenirs than he was in observing just what makes distinctive communities unique. In particular, he was fascinated with the ways the built environment could reflect each destination’s individual sense of place and the needs of its people.
Such experiences drew him to architecture, and in this field he’s earned a reputation as a professional who listens closely to client needs and finds creative design solutions to address them. Throughout his career with firms in New Orleans and Covington, Alex has developed a specialty in educational institutions across Louisiana. His recent work includes the new, 182,000-sq.-ft. middle and senior high schools project in Tallulah, La.
A 1994 graduate of the Tulane School of Architecture, Alex has served two terms as professional director of the Construction Specifications Institute, New Orleans chapter. A New Orleans resident, Alex spends much of his free time pursuing sports and keeping active outdoors. He joined Holly & Smith in 2010.
