Pierre Theriot, Jr., A.I.A.
Architect
The world of design and construction has always been a part of Pierre Theriot’s life.
Growing up, his father managed a lumberyard and later became a general contractor. Pierre discovered a love for art and sketching at an early age and throughout his upbringing found himself drawn to work related to architecture.
Pierre attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now the University of Louisiana at Lafayette) where he won four consecutive Studio Design Excellence awards and was the 1998 recipient of the David R. Williams Thesis Award. He earned Magna Cum Laude honors and joined Holly & Smith after graduation in 1998. He became a Louisiana State Licensed Architect in 2005.
Pierre serves his community as chairman of the Hammond Historic District Commission, as a board member of the Hammond Regional Arts Center and as a member of the Hammond Downtown Development District design committee.
At Holly & Smith, he specializes in early design concepts and design development. He thrives on the challenge of ensuring that a project’s underlying theme remains consistent throughout the design and construction process. At home, he enjoys making music and, with the help of his wife Jessica, tries to keep up with his two young children.
