Joshua Franks

Emerging Professional

Growing up with a “do-it-yourself” father, Josh was introduced early to the world of hands-on projects and home repairs. Both of his grandfathers kept woodshops, where he developed an appreciation for craftsmanship and the patience it takes to create something truly polished.

Josh’s path first led him to the baseball field, where he earned an Associate’s degree from LSUE and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas at Monticello. He later pursued his passion for design, completing both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Architecture at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

His professional career began in sports architecture, giving him the opportunity to work on diverse projects ranging from stadiums and arenas to airports, convention centers, and fairgrounds. Through these experiences, Josh discovered a deep passion for designing spaces that bring people together. Outside of architecture, Josh loves spending time with his kids and dogs, cooking for friends, and tackling projects around his home. He’s always up for a weekend adventure—whether that means kayaking or making a pit stop at a safari park to pet a camel
